Interventional Pain Management Specialist
For 14+ years we have been serving the Greater Houston community. Our interventional pain management practice is now seeking a board certified / board eligible pain medicine and interventional pain management specialist for an immediate opening.The ideal candidate will have expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of acute and chronic pain conditions, as well as a strong commitment to improving our patients’ quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop personalized treatment plans for patients experiencing acute and chronic pain.
- Utilize a multidisciplinary approach, coordinating with other healthcare professionals (e.g., surgeons, physical therapists, psychologists, and primary care physicians) to provide comprehensive care.
- Prescribe, administer, and manage medications and interventions as needed, while monitoring for effectiveness and potential side effects.
- Perform interventional procedures, such as nerve blocks, spinal injections, and implantable devices, in accordance with best practices and clinical guidelines.
- Educate patients and their families on pain management strategies, including self-care techniques, coping mechanisms, and lifestyle modifications.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including documentation of patient evaluations, diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities and stay current on advancements in pain management techniques and research.
- Collaborate with colleagues to optimize patient care and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our pain management program.
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Pain Medicine or Anesthesiology with a subspecialty in Pain Management.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license in the state of Texas.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients and their families.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Board Certified / Board Eligible Anesthesiologist or PM&R Specialist
- Completed / completing fellowship in Pain Management / Medicine
- Active or Eligible for Texas Medical License
- Experienced in the procedures that we perform regularly
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 or more years’ experience in interventional pain management in a private practice setting.
- Experience with interventional pain management techniques, such as spinal cord stimulation, radio-frequency ablation, and intrathecal drug delivery systems.
