Mobeen Choudhri, M.D.

Medical Director / Owner

Dr. Mobeen Choudhri has been a pain specialist with Greater Houston / Victoria Interventional Pain Associates since 2009.  During this time, Dr. Choudhri has performed thousands of procedures and has treated thousands of patients.  Dr. Choudhri is a board certified physician in Pain Medicine and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Choudhri received her Doctorate in Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine.  Dr. Choudhri completed one year in General Surgery and completed her residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at State University of New York in Buffalo, NY (SUNY Buffalo).  During her residency she was elected Chief Resident. After completing her residency, she served as faculty at SUNY Buffalo and was a staff physician at Erie County Medical Center in the department of Physical Medicine &Rehabilitation.   Subsequently, Dr. Choudhri partnered with a Harvard pain fellow in an interventional pain management practice in the greater Washington D.C. area for two years.  During her tenure there she served as a co-director in the department of pain management at Washington Adventist Hospital.  Dr. Choudhri completed her undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She returned to Houston, TX in 2009 and looks forward every day to partnering with her patients to live healthy and pain free.

Umar Mahmood, D.o.

Dr. Umar Mahmood, D.O., is a fellowship trained in interventional pain management. He compleded his B.S. at The University of Texas, Austin before attending Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. D.r Mahmood completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at New York University and an Interventional Spine and Rehabilitation Medicine fellowship at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, MA, a teaching affiliate of Tufts University School of Medicine and Harvard Medical School. 

Dr. Mahmood’s extensive training has allowed him to apply to multidisciplinary approach to patient care with treatment options including spine rehabilitation, patient education, restoration of function, and interventional pain procedures to maximize efficacy. 

Dr Mahmood looks to continuiing to provide the best possible care for our patients in Victoria.

Elias benahmou, M.D.


Dr. Elias Benhamou, 58, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, February 25, 2018, at his home.

Dr. Benhamou was born March 28, 1959 in Marrakech, Morocco to Armand and Colette Benhamou. Dr. Benhamou received his Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Paris, in Paris, France in 1985. He moved to Houston in 1991 and completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Baylor College of Medicine in 1992. Dr. Benhamou joined Greater Houston Anesthesiology (GHA) in 1992 and joined the Ladner Clinic in 2003, specializing in interventional pain management, eventually purchasing the practice which he operated since 2004. The practice he founded will continue his legacy of caring led by his partner, Dr. Mobeen Choudhri.
